Women of Forty Plus is a social group for lesbians who are 40 years old or older. The group meets every Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm at the Center in Long Beach, 2017 E. Fourth St., Long Beach, CA 90814.

 

There are no dues for attending the meetings however a donation of $3 per person is requested to cover the cost of the room rental and support the club. New members are welcome even if they cannot afford the donation. Socializing is from 6pm to 6:30pm and the discussion format is from 6:30pm to 7:45pm.

 

After the meeting many attendees go to a local eatery such as Hot Java to have a cup of coffee and chat some more. Newcomers are always welcome.

 

We do many things outside the Tuesday night meetings. Please join us for some of our special events. We join in many community activities. In 2009 and 2010 we had a float in the Long Beach Pride Parade and won trophies both years. Our float committee took a break in 2011, but we are already planning our 2012 float.
